How To Apply Lipstick The Right Way
How to apply lipstick the right way will stop the complaints that many women have that their lipstick runs, fades or never looks like it does in the tube.
Many women find that even when they spend more money on the lipstick they do not get the celebrity results that they want. Like everything in life there is a right and wrong way to apply lipstick and by doing ti right you can get the colour to last hours instead of minutes.
Moisture: Once the main reasons why lipstick doesn’t stick is that your lips are dry or dry and chapped. Your lips need to be moisturised and free of any dead skin. To do this you can use a facial scrub and gently rub it over your lips, then rinse. Then always use a conditioning lip balm on your lips, which will keep them nice and moist as this is the best condition for you to get your lipstick to stick.
Prime: If you want your lipstick to last hours then priming is essential as you will not need to reapply. Like with all of makeup primers, a lip primer will bring out the vibrant colour of your lipstick and it will look the same on your lips as it does in the tube that enticed you to buy it. The lip primer is colourless and prepares your lips for the colour you are going to add.
Line: Yes, you may be thinking that we’ve gone back in time to the ’80’s but lip liner, used correctly, can be amazing. What women don’t know is that lip liner stops the lipstick from bleeding out of place. When using lip liner, choose a colour that is close to the shade of lipstick that you are going to wear. You can also fill in your lips with the lip liner and then cover the lip liner with the lipstick. This gives the lipstick extra holding power!
Fill and Finish: The last component to celebrity looking lipstick is the fill and finish. To get the best results you will need to use a lip brush as this will give you super precision application. You can use the lipstick in the tube but a lip brush gets into all of the crevices in the lips that a tube of lipstick will miss. To prevent the embarrassing lipstick on the teeth episodes that we’ve all seen and cringed at, remove any excess lipstick my pressing your lips onto some tissue.
Viola! You now have lipstick that not only looks great but will last much longer than it used to.
