How To Find A Hair Shade To Complement Any Eye Colour

Today we’re going to discuss how to find the best hair color to complement your eyes.  If you’ve been looking the hair color that will best compliment your coloring, keep reading to learn how to highlight your best assets.

To figure out how to best complement your eyes, you also need to determine your skin tone.  It does you no good to highlight your eyes if your hair makes your skin looks washed out and sallow.  To determine your skin tone, take a look at your wrist under natural light.  If the veins look blue, your skin tone is cool.  If they look more green, your skin tone is warm.  Easy peasy!

Hair Shades That Compliment Your Eye Colour

If your changing your hair colour you want to ensure that it also suits your eyes.

Shades that complement light colored eyes with cool skin

If your skin is cool and you have light blue, pale green or gray eyes, they will pop when framed by platinum or pale blonde or super light brown.

If your skin is warm and your eye are hazel, green or pale brown, a warmer blonde, such as strawberry or golden blonde will look fabulous.

Shades that complement medium colored eyes with cool skin

If you have cool skin with medium brown, dark blue or dark green eyes, your best hair color is a dirty blonde to a medium brown.

If you have warm skin and dark hazel, green or amber eyes, you want to choose a warm, deep brown to really draw attention to your eyes.

Shades that complement dark colored eyes with cool skin

If your eyes are really dark brown to verging on black and your skin is cool, match your hair to your eyes with a deep coffee color.

Finally, if your eyes are so dark that your pupils tend to fade into the rest of your eye, a rich chocolate may be the best color for you.

If you’ve never colored your hair and your natural color is too far off from what our guide recommends to match your skin tone and eye color, you may not want to make too dramatic of a change right off the bat.  You have a couple of options in this situation.  You can visit a Halloween store for some spray hair color, or you can choose a color a few shades in the direction you want to go.  Either way, we’re sure you’ll love your new color!
